Grilled Hamburgers

Ingredients (in order of appearance):
  • 1 lb. ground beef (or ground chuck)
  • 1 Tbsp. yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1-2 dashes worcestershire sauce
  • 3 hamburger buns, split
  • your favorite toppings
Preheat your grill for medium heat grilling. In a large bowl, mix together beef, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and worcestershire sauce. Form the mixture into 3-4 patties.  The secret to good patties is to make them slightly larger than your hamburger buns. That way, when they shrink up on the grill, they will still cover your buns!

Grill the hamburger patties, turning once, at 7 minutes per side. Check the centers of the patties before removing them from the grill to ensure that they are fully cooked (160 degrees or until the juices run clear and the center is no longer pink). Remove from grill.

Place hamburgers on sliced hamburger buns and add your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
